Frequently Asked Questions
What will be the charges
for tax preparation?
Tax preparation charges
depend on various factors such as tax documents you have, the
forms required for tax preparation and the amount of time we
will spend on doing any accounting work (in case of businesses/
rentals). Please email or call us for an estimation of tax prep
charges.
Can
you tell me the tax refund amount before I decide to file taxes
with you?
Unfortunately, No. We have
to pay software costs for each client that gets entered in the
system, therefore we have to charge you once we begin your
return. However, we make sure to include all possible deductions
and provide you with tax saving tips for the next year, which
rarely happens with other tax preparation services.
Should I file my taxes early?
Yes, if you are getting a
refund why wait? Enjoy the money in your account instead of with
IRS. In rare instances, if you owe IRS you won’t have to pay
taxes until April 15. If you file early you will know the amount
you will have to pay IRS and can plan accordingly.
What
information should I bring to you?
Make sure to bring the
following materials to your tax interview:
·
Dependents' Social Security
numbers and dates of birth
·
Last year's tax return (if
available)
·
Wage statements (Form W-2,
1099 Misc, 1099 G…)
·
Any retirement benefit
received (1099-R)
·
Cash and non-cash charitable
donations
·
Mortgage or home equity loan
interest paid (Form 1098)
·
Unreimbursed
employment-related expenses
·
Job-related educational
expenses
·
Childcare expenses and
provider information
·
Any other tax related
paperwork you received
·
All other tax related
financial statements you received
·
Bank Information ( account
number and routing number)
How quickly can I get my refund?
We will complete and e-file
your tax returns in two days or less from the day we receive all
the paperwork from you. When you file electronically and choose
one of the free IRS direct deposit options, you should receive
your tax refund by direct deposit within approximately 10
business days. You can also choose to have IRS mail you the
check which takes approximately 21 to 28 days.
